Mickey Northcutt is a consultant, coach, and attorney with over two decades of leadership in community development, real estate strategy, and nonprofit transformation. As the founding CEO of a nationally recognized community development organization, Mickey led the creation of nearly 500 affordable homes and built a $300 million pipeline of catalytic real estate projects. Under his leadership, the organization was recognized for excellence in creative community engagement by the American Planning Association and was featured in case studies on transformational real estate development and public art innovation by the Congress for a New Urbanism and the Urban Land Institute.
Known for his visionary, design-forward approach, Mickey helps mission-driven organizations create transformational capital projects - projects that are not only functional and financially sound—but also beautiful, impactful, and deeply rooted in place. His expertise spans development from concept through construction and includes affordable housing, arts centers, health centers, portfolio & pipeline planning, and nonprofit strategy & capacity-building. A licensed attorney, he also offers legal and governance strategy to aligned clients.
Now co-leading Publicos Studio, Mickey partners with developers, investors, and organizations who believe the built environment can be a vehicle for healing, belonging, and equity. His work is grounded in cultural fluency, creative collaboration, and a deep belief in the power of place to transform lives.
