This building includes six affordable homes and an active ground-floor community center, “Espacio.” Located on the neighborhood’s most prominent commercial corridor, Espacio has become a vital third place for many residents. It was a long-standing goal of the community and one of the most pressing investments identified in the Punto Vision and Action Plan. The project was financed through Federal and State Low-Income Housing Tax Credits, Historic Tax Credits, and Tax-Exempt Bonds. Espacio offers 30 unique programs annually and features more than four murals as part of the Punto Urban Art Museum.
